A little bit of background: When I was in 9th grade I started to become more world concious. Things were changing globally and my trip to Europe was coming up. I was ready to make a difference in the world and the first way I knew how was to write about it, even if the only two people who were going to read what I wrote were my teacher and whoever happened to peer review it. At the time I realized how much humans manipulated planet Earth and I started to realize the toll that people took on the "natural world".
